Quinta Santo António da Serra is situated at about 18km (25min. by car) of Funchal city and a mere 9km from Saint Catherine’s Airport (10min. by car).

Near the Quinta (approximately 200m) there are three groceries, seven restaurants, several pubs, a catholic church, a bakery, a pharmacy, a hairdresser, several shops, bus and taxi facilities and a gas station.

There is also a fabulous park, famous for its variety of endemic flora, which not only has a children’s playground but also is where you will find the famous site seeing spot “of the English” from which, on clear days, you can see Machico’s valley, Ponta de São Lourenço and Porto Santo island.

Every weekend, in the village’s centre, there is a fair where you can buy several regional products such as, flowers, bread, fruit and fresh vegetables.

Road book from the airport to Quinta de Santo António da Serra:

Leave the airport direction ( Funchal / Stª. Cruz / ER 101); you have entered the high way;

Drive for 1 Km and leave the high way on the 2nd way out direction (Santa Cruz (este 21) / SANTO DA SERRA / Agua de Pena)

Continue driving for 1,7 Km on the main road. The airport will be on your right side nearly all along this road, when you will find on your right hand side "Snack bar A TORRE - Santa Cruz"

Having passed the snack bar turn left direction ( SANTO DA SERRA - GOLF)

Drive along the main road for more 5,1 Km. You will be at the Golf club house entrance.

Continue straight ahead for more 1,4 Km. You will be in a cross and Quinta de Santo António da Serra entrance / main door is just on your left hand side, just before arriving at the Village Church.
